About the Instructor
Hello Everyone! I will be your instructor, Mr. Aguilar for the upcoming year. I look forward in meeting and in teaching each every one of you regarding physical education. Just recently, I received my bachelors degree in Kinesiology with a focus in physical education from the University of Fullerton. Received my teaching credential from the University of Long Beach. Physical education is what I love to do, it is my passion. I hope everyone will feel the same after the semester.
In the 7th grade class,
I will incorporate traditional games such as flag football, soccer, and baseball. Students will be able to express enjoyment when demonstrating team sports. Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the assigned skills necessary in performance of the activities. Students will be able to demonstrate successfully the skills they have learned in a team sport.
In the 8th grade class,
I will incorporate non-traditional games such as speedball, ultimate Frisbee, and disc golf in my lesson activities this semester. Students will demonstrate mature techniques for the following patterns: overhand, sidearm, and underhand throwing; catching; kicking/punting; striking; trapping; dribbling (hand and foot); and volleying. Students will be able to analyze movement patterns and correct errors. Students will be able to evaluate the effect of expressing encouragement to others while participating in a non-traditional group of physical activity.
