Digital Interactives
In this section, you will learn more information regarding physical education and how you can apply it to your daily lives. Students, I provided useful links that will take you directly to online quizzes, so these can help you better understand the class throughout the semester.
Labeling the Muscles:
Since this is a physical education class, you will learn and label the muscles of the human body. This section and the muscular action section will go hand in hand because at week 10, you will identify the anatomical name of a muscle and identify the type of muscular action it performs. Work with your peers to finish the worksheet if necessary. Labeling Muscles

Types of Muscular Contractions/Actions:
When we think of a muscle generating action or contracting on a normal rate, we tend to think that a muscle is shortening while it generates force. This sequence, is likely true, and this is a way to generate muscle action/contraction. In fact, there are several ways to generate force as you see on the left image. This information will give you an understanding on which type of muscle action you are performing when engaging in physical activity. Students, the link below is a practice quiz on the types of muscle actions, and it will help better prepare you for the exams. Types of Muscle Actions

Warmup and Cool down
It is very important when you exercise, simply, warmup and cool down. Students, remember to warmup before you exercise to prevent injury. After an activity remember to cool down to relax your muscles. Since this is a moving class, I will have you warmup before an activity, and i will have you cool down after an activity. The link below is a practice quiz that will help you prepare for the exam. Anaerobic versus Aerobic
There are two types of exercise: anaerobic and aerobic. Aerobic means with oxygen and anaerobic means without oxygen. Examples of aerobic activities are the following: walking, jogging, etc. Examples of anaerobic activities are the following: running/sprinting, cycling, etc. Throughout the course, you will participate in aerobic and anaerobic activities. The link below will get into more details regarding the two activities. You will receive credit for attempting the practice quiz. Have fun!
